The Department of Border and Migration is in charge of the supervision and control of the state border of the Republic of Albania, and the control and treatment of foreigners in the territory, in order to prevent, detect and fight the illegal activity through its central and regional structures. In addition, the Department implements international documents and bilateral and multilateral agreements on border issues recognized and accepted by the Albanian government.
